Medication Assisted Treatment at the RI Department of Corrections The Rhode Island Department of Corrections’ Medication Assisted Treatment program offers incarcerated individuals with access to medication and therapy before and after being released from prison, through CODAC Behavioral Healthcare. This program is central to Rhode Island Governor Raimondo's strategy to reduce opioid overdose deaths in the state. Prisoners who enter the program remain clients when they exit prison, and the program has shown great success.
