Responding to a sexual assault allegation

The Sexual Assault Incident Management Model (SAIMM) is a resource to utilize in the event that an individual discloses an allegation of sexual assault. SAIMM gives you a step-by-step process to follow when dealing with a sexual assault allegation. This sexual assault incident management model is used by employees of developmental disability service providers and staff from BHDDH’s Division of Developmental Disabilities. The Model is the result of a collaboration with representatives from the Department of Behavioral Healthcare, Developmental Disabilities and Hospitals, developmental disabilities service providers, Day One and the Attorney General’s office.
