Fortunately, there are proven methods to help veterans recover from alcohol or drug misuse, including mutual help groups and other effective treatments. Some veterans prefer not to attend the local veterans’ support services listed below. Licensed substance use disorder service providers in Rhode Island have veterans listed as a priority population for all services.
