Renovations on the Cranston Campus

The renovation of Eleanor Slater Hospital's Regan building in Cranston is well underway. The entire building has been vacated, with patients, staff, medical equipment furniture, and IT equipment relocated. The contractor, Tocci Inc., has constructed fencing around the premises and placed internal partitions to delineate the construction zone from operational kitchen areas. Currently, work is underway on the sixth floor, marking the beginning of transforming floors 3 through 6 into psychiatric units. The project's completion date remains set for Spring 2026.

Description: The Rhode Island Department of Behavioral Healthcare, Developmental Disabilities and Hospitals (BHDDH) is soliciting proposals from qualified agencies to develop a RI based pilot program to address the complexities related to the treatment of stimulant use disorders. The pilot should include the evidence-based practice known as contingency management in an out-patient clinic type of setting which can also provide access to a comprehensive set of supportive services. The pilot program is expected to somewhat mirror the Boston Medical Centers office-based Addiction Treatment model called the “START” program.
